GENERAL RULES
Welcome to the Third Annual TIBCSMEMBERS List Member's Choice Awards! The period for making nominations runs until Dec. 7. Once again we have the opportunity to recognize our peers and look at some beautiful cats...some that have never been shown and some produced by little-known breeders.
These awards are voted on by members of the TIBCSMEMBERS List and therefore they are named after the list whose members vote on them.
If you are a member of TIBCS and wish to vote, simply join the list from this page: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/TIBCSMEMBERS/
(Why? These are unofficial awards, so it would be inappropriate to run them from the OfficialTIBCS list. You do not have to be a member of TIBCSMEMBERS List to nominate or be nominated, but voting will be done using the Yahoo polling feature. That's why you must be a member of TIBCSMEMBERS List if you wish to vote.)

- The awards cover the period of May 1, 2006 through NOV. 1, 2007.
-
There are two types of awards, "People" awards and "Cat" awards. The categories for the "People" awards are: Breeder(s) of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Best New Breeder of the Year, and Lifetime Achievement Award.
- All list members can vote (using the list polls feature). Voting will be anonymous, so that members will be free to vote without having to worry about hurting a friend's feelings.
- During the voting period, each nominee for the Favorite Bengals category will be identified on the site only by a number (and if it is an EG cat the generation will be stated). Voting will be by number.
- When the voting is over, the winners will be announced. In order to avoid embarrassing nominees that did not win, the number of votes they received will not be reported to the list.
- In the case of "Cat" awards, when the voting is over, the cat names will be added to the site and then not
only will we have selected the favorite bengals of the members of the TIBCSMEMBER List, we'll have an on-line gallery showcasing some of the most exciting
cats produced by TIBCS members! We may also have another stunning calendar like the one last year to showcase the winners.
- There are no prizes (unless someone wants to donate some!)---but it's good publicity for the nominees, and the winners will get a nifty award graphic that they can put on their website and use in their advertising.
- You may nominate people for the "people" awards using this anonymous form.
- Other rules for specific "People" awards, and the special rules for "Cat" awards, are below.
Breeder of the Year
What makes a great breeder? Someone who advances the breed by producing stunning cats? Someone who is ethical and fair in all their dealings? Someone who mentors others? Someone who represents the breed in the public eye? Combinations of these? Etc. There are as many different answers as there are members of TIBCS.
- The nominee must have been a Breeder member of TIBCS at some point between May 1, 2006 and Nov. 1, 2007. You may nominate as many people as you wish. People who won in this category can be nominated again this year.
